2016 and 2017 were named the peak of vandalism in the republic. In Tatarstan, every year there are fewer acts of vandalism. They peaked in 2016 and 2017, but this is getting lesser every year. This opinion was expressed at a press conference at the Tatar-inform news agency by the Deputy Minister of Construction, Architecture, Housing and Communal Services of the Republic of Tatarstan Ainaz Yarmiev. “2016 and 2017 were the most vandal years. Now vandalism in parks and squares is decreasing, because people understand that everything is done here for them,” - Yarmiev said. He noted that since 2016, when Natalia Fishman-Bekmambetova became Assistant to the President of the Republic of Tatarstan, the projects of parks and squares have changed dramatically, from programs of major repairs they have turned into full-fledged new public spaces in the European manner.
